General Motors is taking Cadillac into the market of compact luxury cars with their new drafts for the 2018 Cadillac XT3. This direction may be the result of a change in leadership in 2014, with the new President of Global Cadillac having formerly worked with Infiniti and Audi in the past. The 2018 Cadillac XT3 has taken features from their previously popular luxury models and redesigned them to create a crossover compact SUV. This new Cadillac will be designed with space and economy in mind and expected to use this direction to attract the younger generation.

2018 Cadillac XT3 Review, Changes

Cadillac designers are expected to portray the 2018 XT3 with a merge of popular models such as the Escalade and SRX. This includes a V-Shaped grill at the front of the vehicle, similar to that of the SRX rather than the straight grill of an Escalade. Vertical LED headlights and taillights are also expected to be used, as well as Cadillac’s classic three window side design. Two exhaust pipes and a flat back window are expected to make up the rear design. It’s also speculated that the XT3 will feature a sleek sloped roof with the wide body, keeping in tune with Cadillac’s luxury roots.

Interior-wise is where 2018 Cadillac XT3 is expected to incorporate the features of their acclaimed Escalade. The XT3 is expected to come fitted with leather seats as well as a wood and metallic interior design. A V-Shaped central console complete with touch-screen displays is predicted to be incorporated as stock features. In keeping with the XT3’s economical nature, many additional features will be optional. This includes advanced sound systems, rear heated seats, and navigational features. Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system is also predicted to be included as an option for customers of the 2018 Cadillac XT3.
